The L2CF engages stakeholders to obtain ideas and recommendations regarding gaps in learning and promising educational initiatives. Existing learning initiatives are evaluated and support is provided to help increase impacts and accessibility. Pilot or experimental learning initiatives are supported to assess their effectiveness in promoting, encouraging, and rewarding academic achievement and attainment at all levels. In most cases, interested parties are required to compete for foundation support by responding to a Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Support (RFS). Applications are screened, evaluated, ranked, and funded contingent upon availability of funds. To date, one hundred percent of gifts/donations have gone to support a wide array of learning initiatives. Follow-up contacts are used to collect related information to assess and measure related outcomes.
